Verified Reviewer | Kula, HawaiiCredo is hypocritic
Credo offered customers a $100 referral fee for any friend they would sign up with Credo. I referred my friend and even after three follow-up calls never received ANY credit.
They just didn't care to pay it. I stayed with Credo nevertheless (my mistake). Then I dealt with a miscommunication issue, which involved irresponsible follow-up work on Credo's side in regards to me clearly expressing that I wanted to downsize my plan which didn't happen and led to excess expenses on my end which Credo took NO responsibility for and wasn't willing to make any adaptations for either. To make it short: I don't recommend anybody to get involved with Credo.
"Nice talking" on the outside, but obviously not living up to it... the same old BS, money matters more than honest customer care, I call it hypocritic.

Verified ReviewerLong term customer, ripped off numerous times
This so called progressive company is more or less a giant scam. I was a customer for more than ten years, going back to the days of Working Assets which actually did a lot of decent things that a mega telecom company does not.
CREDO, like so many businesses in 2023, banking on their style (wOkE) over any substance.
They are more or less constantly communicating their special offers and incentives to get other people to join their surface level skin deep cell phone cult, but when it comes to communicating with the people that pay their bills, they could care less. I had several disappointing interactions with them over the years, but the final straw of this dispute centers on data overage charges. I neglected to pay attention to my bill and realized recently that I had been paying 3x the base rate for going over on data. I was unaware that I was incurring these charges and never received any notification...for several months.
When I finally looked at the bill in detail I was shocked to discover that I'd cumulatively paid several hundred dollars over my base monthly rate. Tried to resolve this via customer service, first looking for an explanation and then arguing with their incompetent, off-shored "advocates" about the charges. Their only response was that "text messages were sent" to inform me of the data overage charges. I am not that big of a moron to keep using data to the tune of $90-$120 over; if I had known I would have stopped altogether.
The simple argument I was trying to make is that if a cell phone company, progressive values (lol) or not, can collect $100 a month for 10 years, surely they can send an email or phone to alert the customer about the high charges they are incurring. This dispute went to a supervisor, and I offered to pay half of the overage fees, and their inflexible "senior support staff" came to a consensus that I was out of luck. They did not give a millimeter, not even a dime.
They also, in the middle of this dispute, shut my phone service off! I would stay far, far away from this company they are wolves in sheep's clothing (baaaaah)
- Alternative cell phone company

- Terrible customer service
- Inflexible
Preferred solution: Full refund

Verified ReviewerI've been enslaved by Credo Mobile, who won't give me a transfer pin and port out pin.
I have received an email from Credo Mobile indicating that my issue with them has been 'resolved' with no indication as to How it has been resolved, from which I can only assume that they still intend to continue to enslave me. It is yet another example of their...
As of Friday, August 4, 2023, 9:24 AM EDT, Credo Mobile continues to refuse to discontinue my account, over a week after I first called to discontinue it. A person calling himself 'Linville' does nothing but stall and evade and invent new definitions for the word...
I finally got my transfer pin and have escaped back to AT&T. Woo hoo!
Next time I'll read the reviews first before changing mobile phone carriers. And I still want my money back.
I've put in several requests for a transfer pin and port out pin so I can transfer back and have no reason to believe they're going to allow it.
I've been on hold with customer service for hours. I WANT MY MONEY BACK.

Verified ReviewerBASELESS CHARGES + UNRESPONSIVE = SCAM
Credo touts itself as a goody two-shoes mobile carrier, and its web site is filled with fetching eye candy, glowing "reviews", and all the right buzz words, but fly-by-night scam or money laundering operation is more apt.
I've had countless emails, voicemails, and phones call trying to resolve the simple fact the the "company" sent the wrong phone
Their customer service is nonexistent/unresponsive, their fees are exorbitant, the company mishandles orders, ships late, gouges with "restocking fees" to penalize the customer for the company's incompetence, and refuses to refund baseless charges.
If you believe all the bilge this company spews and you nonetheless sign up with them, you are continuing to validate Barnum's Dictum that a sucker is born every minute.
The ultimate irony is that CREDO is in-credibleSTREER

My Samsung Galaxy A13 5G smartphone.
A few weeks ago, I purchased a Samsung Galaxy A13 5G smartphone from Amazon. It arrived and I attempted to start it.
The (very small print owner's manual!) told me to open a tiny tray with a "tool", and then I was instructed to insert a SIM card. There was no such devise in the package, so I asked my grandson (a computer tech) where I could buy one, and was told Walmart or Target has them. Walmart informed me they do not sell such things, and I was told by one person that I must contact my "provider" and by another that I must contact my "carrier". What do these terms mean?
I'm almost 97 years old, and have subscribed to CREDO for over 30 years for my cellphone service, and have always been very satisfied. I've also been pleased by your progressive philosophy. When I was switched over to the new NUU phones a few months ago, I also had few problems, although I've never mastered a number of functions or actions which are possible with the new phone. I only use my NUU for basic phone conversations--nothing more.
Can you possibly assist me in some way to understnad how this Samsung Galaxy A13 can be somehow reconciled with the NUU which I'm now using? Must I retain both devices now for any activities in which I wish to engage? Seems like an awfully awkward situation to me. BTW, I've dealt with a wonderful, friendly tech by the name of "Hannah", I believe it was, previously.
If you know her and could somehow transfer this msg. to her, I'd be just thrilled! See if you can locate her, and have her contact me!
Many thanks for anything you people can do for me. Dr.
